Whitewood to receive a little help from the National Park Service

There is a burgeoning multi-use trail being developed at Oak Park in Whitewood, SD. Most of the work to date has been performed by local father and son Rick and Markus Heinrich and friends. In an effort to take the project to the next level, city official Jackie Hoffman applied for Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) help, offered by the National Park Service. It appears the application was successful and the National Park Service will be stepping in to help in a guidance role, including helping the city to secure funding.
